It is a 35-seater SAAB 340B turboprop plane that started operating in 1991. The plane had an interesting and eventful history before it ended up with its new owners. The plane was last flown in 2019 when it was used by RAF-Avia Airlines.
The plane operated on the Helsinki-Savonlinna route. In total, it has flown around 35,500 flights around Europe, including in the Baltics, Romania, and Ukraine. The plane had a minor accident in January 2019 when it drifted off the runway during a transfer flight to Savonlinna. In that rut, a small dent was created in the plane’s critical fuselage, as a result of which the plane ended up unairworthy.
After the accident, seats and flight equipment were removed from the plane, among other things. Currently, the machine is externally intact and perfectly suitable for conversion for accommodation use.
We are starting construction in 2023.
